Fall is a busy season for field trips. We have been to Wickiup Hill Conservation & Learning Center, The Children’s Museum, Playtime Poppy shows at Jefferson High School, and our neighborhood Urban Farm, Groundswell Cafe and Corner Store with Mathew 25.

Some classes took extra special walking field trips! 2nd Grade visited the Kingston Stadium area. 5th Grade visited a local church to explore medieval period mosaics.

Besides America Reads volunteers, we have welcomed the Cedar Rapids Public Library regularly, and the Cedar Rapids Police Pal, and even dental clinicians for a check up!
